A photonics engineer from Boulder, CO, James Hale brings to Entanglement Technologies extensive experience in manufacturing, R&D, and design of photonic, vacuum, and soft robotic products. He has worked with independent companies and government entities to develop lasers used for high power welding, UV/IR gas spectroscopy, as well as quantum and atomic physics.
An intern at Entanglement, Natalia Tuchman is a sophomore at Columbia College from Palo Alto, California. She is studying chemistry on the pre-med track. In addition to her academic work, Natalia is actively involved in Columbia’s Systems Biological Initiative, a club dedicated to exploring the intersection of engineering and medical research.
As a Procurement and Manufacturing Specialist at Entanglement, Jake Sweeney brings with him 30 years of experience in the automotive industry as an expert in supply chain and parts management systems. Jake also brings with him expertise in manufacturing, customer experience, and management, which are valuable assets to the Entanglement Technologies manufacturing team.
As an intern at Entanglement, Daniyal Qazi is working on creating a new RF signal chain to improve the frequency range of the platform’s laser. Originally from Las Vegas, Daniyal is a rising junior at Duke, double majoring in electrical and computer engineering and math.
Tanouir Aloui, Ph.D., brings to Entanglement a wealth of experience working with analytical instruments on projects ranging from nanoscale research to large-scale instrumentation. She has a PhD from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University, where she focused on integrating new technologies for use in space flight mission mass spectrometers. Before attending Duke, she earned the Diplôme d’ingénieur généraliste from École Centrale de Lyon, France, as well as an M.S. in nanoscale engineering from Lyon University in France. Tanouir holds bachelor of science degrees in physics and mathematics from Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University in Paris. She speaks fluent Arabic and French.
Daniel Gutierrez joined Entanglement Technologies in 2023 as a Manufacturing Technician. Daniel has worked in the Bay Area for several years and most recently worked for Dexterity Robotics as a lead technician and supervisor. Daniel’s technical expertise in precision manufacturing and exceptional attention to detail are assets to the Entanglement Technologies manufacturing team.
Lonnie Leyden is an Optical Manufacturing Engineer at Entanglement Technologies. He has a wide range of manufacturing and engineering experience working with cutting-edge laser and optical systems for medical device companies, the U.S. Department of Defense, and consumer electronics industries. Lonnie’s experience in optical alignment and systems calibration makes him a great addition to our team.
In his role as an Inside Sales Specialist at Entanglement Technologies, Pedro Benavides identifies and connects with customers that could benefit from Entanglement Technologies’ flagship chemical detection platform, AROMA. Pedro has a background in social work, data analytics, and manufacturing production management. He is skilled at connecting clients with personalized solutions to address their organizational goals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Montreat College and is passionate about issues surrounding air quality and the lived environment.
Aurelie Marcotte, Ph.D., is an experienced atmospheric chemist and analytical instrumentation specialist with a robust background in the design, implementation, and analysis of atmospheric chemistry and air quality research projects. Aurelie obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Arizona State University, completing her postdoctoral training in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Yale University and at the US EPA Office of Research and Development in North Carolina. Prior to joining Entanglement, Aurelie was a Mass Spectrometry Specialist at Waters Corporation where she worked with customers across various markets in the Southeast to achieve their analytical goals. Aurelie’s combined backgrounds in air quality and the implementation of high-value analytical solutions strongly supports her work in her role as Director of Sales and Business Development for the Entanglement Technologies team.
As an analytical chemist with a background in pioneering critical research and development efforts in cutting-edge technology manufacturing, Jake Margolis brings a passion for applying fundamental research to solve real world problems in his role as Applications Scientist at Entanglement Technologies. Leveraging his expertise in spectroscopic instrumentation, analytical systems, and energy storage products, Jake drives customer-focused innovations for the AROMA systems with a focus on solution implementation and customer satisfaction. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Southern Oregon University.
